DJ speaker about
Groovaholiks Music DJ ownersOkay, here's the skinny on the owner (as well as sole DJ) of Groovaholiks Music. His full name is Lucas King, but everyone calls him Luke (you can call him whatever you like though!). He currently resides in Hood River, OR with his partner-in-crime Joanna (pictured left). Why Hood River? Because it's simply one of the most beautiful places on this big blue marble we call Earth.

If you've ever watched late night infomercials on TV, then you've probably seen Tony Robbins pitching his motivational tapes. He's the guy with the horse shaped face who always exclaims, "Live with passion!" Well, Luke doesn't have any connection to Mr. Robbins, but he does live with passion. Passion for life in general, but especially passion for music. I can't count how many times he has opened my ears to a fresh new sound. He's always listening, putting his feelers out there for the elusive grooves. Especially big thumping beats with basslines that ooze out of the speakers like warm honey from a hive.

However, it's not all roses. This wouldn't be an honest biography if I didn't list his one major shortcoming. That flaw being; he dances like a giraffe with Down Syndrome. Or maybe it's more analogous to a duck with a broken leg. Either way, the point is, watching him dance is highly amusing. As a matter of fact, Luke is one of those people who is just naturally entertaining. He's simply unafraid to make a goof out of himself, especially if he knows it will put a smile on the faces of those around him. It seems fitting that he has chosen an occupation that makes people feel great!

I've known Luke for most of his life, and I can honestly say that he is one of the most gracious, dependable, and joyous individuals that I've had the pleasure of knowing. But don't just take my word for it. Set up a meeting with him and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. He may even do a little dance for yah!
